The youth movement at Stamford Bridge could see Chelsea offload some of their veteran players during the winter transfer window.

Olivier Giroud and Pedro are the most likely to depart, as the Blues will listen to offers for both in January rather than allow them to leave for free when their contracts expire next summer, according to Matt Law of The Telegraph.

Both players will be free to speak to foreign clubs in January in order to reach agreements with interested teams six months before the end of their respective contracts. Should they agree to terms with other clubs, they won't be able to join their new sides until the summer.

It's understood, however, that Chelsea will be eager to field bids for the pair in order to collect fees and avoid paying their salaries for the remaining months of their deals, Law adds.

The pair has seen limited opportunities under manager Frank Lampard. Giroud, who is currently behind Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi on the Chelsea depth chart, is reported to be particularly eager to leave; he's in danger of losing his place with the French national team after starting just one match since Lampard took charge last summer.

Giroud could be set for a return to Ligue 1, with Law reporting there's plenty of interest in the 33-year-old in France. Premier League clubs such as Crystal Palace and West Ham United have also previously been linked with the former Montpellier and Arsenal striker.

Pedro, meanwhile, has been left out of Lampard's squad in five of Chelsea's 11 Premier League matches this season. But the 32-year-old appears the more likely of the two to see out the remainder of his contract.

The Chelsea duo's future could depend on the injury situation at the club, as well as the team's appeal of its transfer ban, which will be heard by the Court of Arbitration for Sport on Nov. 20. Lampard is reportedly unwilling to weaken the squad if he's unable to bring in new players.
