Former Minnesota Twins manager Rocco Baldelli has withdrawn from consideration for the Seattle Mariners' managerial position, sources told The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal.

Baldelli cited family considerations, Rosenthal reports.

The 45-year-old Baldelli was considered a front-runner to replace Dan Wilson, who was removed as manager Sept. 27 after the Mariners posted a 76-86 record.

Baldelli spent seven seasons as manager of the Twins and compiled a 527-505 record, winning the division three times. He was the 2019 AL Manager of the Year.

The Mariners were also linked to Guardians manager Stephen Vogt, who said last week that he'll remain in Cleveland next season.
