Chicago Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong and New York Yankees left fielder Cody Bellinger were named the 2026 Platinum Glove winners in their respective leagues Friday.

It was an easy win in the National League for Crow-Armstrong. His 25 outs above average led all qualified outfielders, nine ahead of second-place Ceddanne Rafaela. The 24-year-old finished in the 100th percentile of outfield range, the 93rd percentile in arm value, and the 90th percentile in arm strength.

Crow-Armstrong is the first NL center fielder to win a Platinum Glove since the award was established in 2011 and the first center fielder from either league to win the award since Minnesota's Byron Buxton in 2017. He joins Anthony Rizzo as the only Cubs players to earn the honor.

Bellinger, meanwhile, tallied 21 defensive runs saved, easily the most among American League left fielders. He also had eight outfield assists and was worth six outs above average while finishing above the 91st percentile in range and arm strength.

The 31-year-old earned his second career Gold Glove last week. He's the second Yankee to win a Platinum Glove after catcher Jose Trevino in 2022.

The team Gold Glove Awards were also handed out Friday. The Toronto Blue Jays won the AL team Gold Glove for the third time in the last four seasons, while the Chicago Cubs repeated as the NL winner. Both teams led their respective leagues in SABR defensive index rating.

Toronto's 51 defensive runs saved as a team were the third most in the Junior Circuit in 2026. Despite earning the team award, the Blue Jays did not have an individual Gold Glove winner this year.

The Cubs' stingy defense committed just 61 errors in 2026, by far the fewest in the majors, and they also racked up MLB-best marks in DRS (115) and outs above average (73). They had two Gold Glove winners this season in Crow-Armstrong and third baseman Alex Bregman.
