San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans didn't finish Monday's 23-17 victory against the Washington Commanders after aggravating his Achilles in the first half.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters after the game that Evans is dealing with Achilles tendinitis but that the injury isn't expected to hamper him long term, according to Harrison Rich of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Evans entered the contest with injured ribs and Achilles soreness. The veteran wideout went down on a 16-yard reception with just over a minute left in the second quarter before limping to the locker room with trainers. He sat out the remainder of the game.

The 33-year-old didn't practice all week leading up to Monday Night Football and has been on the injury report for four straight weeks with various ailments.

Evans is off to an amazing start this season, recording 27 receptions for a team-leading 420 yards and three touchdowns.

The six-time Pro Bowler joined the 49ers in free agency on a three-year deal worth up to $42.4 million after a 12-year run with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
