Dele Alli is back in England's starting XI after missing the two matches preceding Tuesday's World Cup round of 16 meeting with Colombia due to a thigh concern.
The lineup is actually identical to the one that Alli featured in against Tunisia, with Jordan Henderson the only recognised holding midfielder and Raheem Sterling returning to support Harry Kane in attack. Chelsea's Ruben Loftus-Cheek is on the bench following back-to-back starts.

The only surviving outfield player from the Group G-concluding loss to Belgium is John Stones, who was withdrawn from that match at half-time and later seen with ice strapped around his leg. He is flanked by Kyle Walker and Harry Maguire in an all-Yorkshire three-man defence.
Kane leads the competition's scoring charts with five goals, while England hopes Sterling can address his dry spell after not scoring for his country since October 2015.
