Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic is being scouted by Manchester United and Juventus, as the clubs consider a move for the promising 21-year-old.

A Red Devils representative will be in attendance to watch the Serbian take on Bologna on Sunday, according to the Guardian's Fabrizio Romano.

The Bianconeri are also actively monitoring Milenkovic, Romando adds.

Milenkovic has taken on a more prominent role for La Viola this season after emerging as one of Serbia's most impressive performers during the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Primarily a center-back, the former Partizan man has been a fixture at right-back under Stefano Pioli this season and has not missed a single minute of Fiorentina's Serie A campaign thus far, scoring twice in 12 games. He played just 16 times in the league last term.

According to Romano, Milenkovic, who reportedly earns around £10,000 per week on a contract running until 2022, was also the subject of an ultimately unsuccessful €45-million offer from Atletico Madrid in the summer.

United, of course, have a storied history with Serbian defenders, as former club captain and imposing center-back Nemanja Vidic played 300 games and won five Premier League titles and a Champions League in eight-and-a-half years in Manchester. Milenkovic could link up with international teammate Nemanja Matic at Old Trafford should solid interest in his signature arise.
