West Ham United have apparently decided that James Tarkowski is the answer to their defensive woes.
The Irons submitted a bid of around £30 million for the Burnley center-back, according to BBC Sport's Simon Stone, after they leaked 62 goals in the 2019-20 Premier League campaign.
West Ham have already seen a £27-million offer knocked back by the Clarets. Burnley manager Sean Dyche warned Tarkowski won't be sold "on the cheap" and The Guardian's Jacob Steinberg believes the club could hold out for as much as £50 million for the twice-capped English defender.
Tarkowski, 27, is apparently open to leaving Burnley to improve his chances of making Gareth Southgate's England squad ahead of next year's European Championship. Leicester City have also reportedly shown an interest in the former Brentford man.
