James Ward-Prowse did it again.

The free-kick specialist delivered another masterful goal Saturday, giving last-placed Southampton a priceless 1-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The pinpoint strike was the English midfielder's 17th direct free-kick goal in the Premier League, one short of the record held by David Beckham.

Chelsea, meanwhile, continue to stumble. The Blues have just one win in all competitions since the calendar flipped to 2023 and sit 10th in the table as Graham Potter struggles to integrate all his new players.
