Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Mickey Moniak sustained a fracture in his right hand after being hit by a pitch in a spring training game Wednesday, sources told NBC Sports Philadelphia's Jim Salisbury.

Moniak is reportedly expected to miss six weeks.

The 23-year-old slashed .371/.371/.914 with five homers across 14 games during the spring.

The Phillies selected Moniak out of high school with the No. 1 pick in the 2016 draft. However, he's struggled to find his footing in the majors, accruing a .432 OPS with one round-tripper over 29 games since debuting in 2020.
