The New York Yankees are bringing manager Aaron Boone back for another year, a source told Jack Curry of YES Network.

Boone, who's under contract through 2027, will reportedly return despite the Yankees' season ending with another early playoff exit. The Tampa Bay Rays swept them in the ALDS.

New York hasn't won a World Series since 2009.

Boone owns a 790-565 record over nine years with the Bronx Bombers. He's led the club to the 2024 Fall Classic, three ALCS appearances (2019, 2022, 2024), and three AL East titles (2019, 2022, 2024).

General manager Brian Cashman, who's contract ends at the conclusion of the season, is also expected to return for his 29th campaign with the Yankees.
