Detroit Pistons shooting guard Luke Kennard exited Thursday's matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second quarter with a shoulder injury and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.

The 22-year-old sophomore reportedly has a right shoulder sprain with a possible separation and will undergo an MRI on Friday, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Kennard had converted all four of his shot attempts for eight points in 13 minutes of action off the bench prior to his injury.

He averaged 7.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists on 44.3 percent shooting across 73 appearances during his rookie year in the Motor City.
