While playing a video game on a live stream Monday, Chicago Bulls rookie Daniel Gafford offered a blunt appraisal of his team's head coach, Jim Boylen.

"He aight," Gafford said in response to a viewer's question, according to 670 The Score's Cody Westerlund. "I don’t like him a lot, but he OK. Got some things he can work on, got some things he can get better at as a person and as a coach. I’m not going to hate on him. I’m not going to hate the man."

Gafford has averaged 5.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in just over 14 minutes per game as a rookie. The 6-foot-10 center was selected 38th overall out of Arkansas last June.

The Bulls went 22-43 this season before their year came to a close in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic; the team was not among those selected to continue their season at the NBA's Disney World campus in Orlando.

Overall, Chicago has compiled a 39-84 (.317) record since Boylen took over midway through the 2018-19 season. While the 55-year-old has reportedly expressed to his staff his expectation to return next season, it is also expected that new vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas entertains the possibility of a change.
