Atlanta Hawks guard Kris Dunn will be out indefinitely after a recent MRI revealed loose cartilage inhibiting his right ankle's range of motion, the team announced Sunday.
Dunn is set to undergo arthroscopic surgery on Wednesday.
The former fifth overall pick was already nursing a right knee injury.
Atlanta signed Dunn to a two-year, $10-million contract this offseason, but he has yet to make an appearance for the club.
The 26-year-old averaged 7.3 points, 3.6 boards, and 3.4 assists over 51 appearances for the Chicago Bulls last season. Dunn also ranked second in the Association with two steals per contest.
