Larry Nance Jr. made an instant impact in his New Orleans Pelicans debut, posting nine points, four boards, and one block in Thursday's 126-109 victory over the Chicago Bulls.
New Orleans acquired Nance from the Portland Trail Blazers in February as part of the CJ McCollum blockbuster trade, but the 6-foot-7 forward underwent right knee surgery a few days later.
Nance averaged 6.9 points, 5.6 boards, two assists, and one block over 37 appearances this season with Portland. The 2015 first-round pick could play a vital role down the stretch with Zion Williamson still sidelined.
New Orleans is now tied with the Los Angeles Lakers for the West's No. 9 seed.
