Paolo Banchero isn't bothered by the lack of eyes on the Orlando Magic this season.

The Magic forward told Bleacher Report's Taylor Rooks that while he agrees there hasn't been enough attention on the team, it's something he's become used to dating back to his teenage years.

"I would be lying if I said I didn't (feel overlooked), but I don't look at it as a bad thing 'cause I feel like it's been the story of my life, basketball-wise," Banchero explained. "I've always been a fairly highly touted player, but since the ninth grade, it's been the same story. I got screenshots from 2018, 19, or articles that were written where they would say I was this, I was that. I wasn't gonna be this or I was only gonna be this, I couldn't get to that point.

"It's always been there and so I've gotten ... used to kind of working in the shadows and then popping up at the right time. So I feel like that's what's happening right now for me and the team. ... It's like, whatever, we not getting the attention, the TV games, whatever you wanna say. But we're the fourth seed, and we gonna be on TV in the playoffs, so eventually it's gonna come to the light."

The Magic enter Friday night's matchup against the New York Knicks sitting fourth in the Eastern Conference at 37-26 and riding a five-game winning streak.

Banchero, who's in his second NBA season, is averaging 22.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 5.2 assists through 61 games.
