Texas pass-rusher Colin Simmons was helped off the field in the fourth quarter of Saturday's loss to Florida after suffering a leg injury.

Simmons stayed down for several minutes before limping off the field with the help of trainers. The star edge rusher spent time in the medical tent for a few minutes before being carted to the locker room.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian confirmed postgame that Simmons sustained a lower leg injury but didn't know how serious it was, according to Orangebloods' Anwar Richardson.

Simmons entered the contest leading the entire FBS in sacks with 9.5 on the season. Before leaving the game against Florida, he recorded a team-leading eight tackles, four of them for a loss, and one sack.

The 20-year-old is projected to be a first-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft. He's recorded 116 tackles and 31.5 sacks during his three-year run at Texas.
