Kimble (hand) played 22 minutes in the exhibition loss to Florida State on Wednesday. He provided six points (2-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds and five assists before fouling out.
Analysis:Kimble had missed an early August exhibition, but was back on the court as the regular season nears. The 6-2 guard averaged 18.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists two seasons ago with Eastern Kentucky, but did not play last season with Vanderbilt due to a knee injury incurred at the end of the 2024-25 season. Kimble could join Tahaad Pettiford and Kevin Overton as one of the best backcourts in the SEC.
