Pettiford scored a team-high 20 points (6-18 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 4-4 FT) with two assists and three steals in the exhibition loss to Florida State on Wednesday.
Analysis:Pettiford averaged 15.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists last season. He only hit 29.0 percent of his 3-pointers, so a modest uptick in long-range accuracy could see the 6-1 junior among the best scorers in the SEC. Pettiford should command plenty of playing time for the Tigers.
