Head coach Ken Niumatalolo indicated Thursday that Weaver (undisclosed) is banged up following last week's loss to Wyoming, per Niles Hall of The Spear.
Analysis:Weaver took a number of hits during last week's game and is apparently still feeling the residual effects. The 6-foot-3 senior ended up throwing for 251 yards and one interception against the Cowboys. His status for Saturday's contest against UTEP appears in question for the moment, and fellow quarterbacks Robert McDaniel and Daniel Rolovich are the likely candidates to be called upon if Weaver is unable to go.
