Aldama is unlikely to suit up for Friday's preseason finale against Atlanta, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Analysis:Coach Dusty May said Thursday that Aldama is getting "much, much closer" to returning but doesn't expect him to play against the Hawks. Although the forward appears to be making progress, his availability for the beginning of the regular season remains uncertain. Dallas could continue leaning on its other frontcourt options until Aldama is cleared to return.
