Lyons has earned the starting running back job for Florida International after his recent uptick in production, Kevin Barral of The League Winners reports.
Analysis:Lyons has impressed recently, totaling 151 yards and a touchdown along with three receptions for 36 yards through the air across the team's last two games. Head coach Willie Simmons indicated that fellow running back Anthony Carrie will continue to have a big role moving forward, indicating that it may be more of a split backfield rather than Lyons taking over.
