Damsgaard (ankle) is making progress in his recovery ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash against Liverpool, although his availability remains uncertain, according to coach Keith Andrews. "Closer, is the case with all of those players you just mentioned. Dams is obviously the shortest of all of them. The one he picked up away with Denmark was from a pretty naughty tackle."
Analysis:Damsgaard missed Brentford's previous match against Aston Villa after suffering an ankle injury while on international duty with Denmark. The midfielder had already resumed on-field work but was not yet ready for competitive action. He is getting closer to returning, although his availability against Liverpool remains uncertain. Damsgaard has started three Premier League matches this season and would provide Brentford with another creative option in midfield once fully fit.
