Scheierman (rest) isn't expected to play in Friday's preseason finale against the 76ers, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports.
Analysis:Scheierman and the rest of Boston's regulars won't be available for the final exhibition but should be good to go for the regular-season opener against the Pistons on Tuesday. Scheierman's competing for a starting spot with Jordan Walsh, Sam Hauser and others.
