Taylor (toe) is expected to be downgraded to doubtful and is not expected to play Saturday at LSU, Pete Thamel of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis:Taylor is in line to miss his first contest of the season as he continues to work through a toe injury. The quarterback sustained the injury against Missouri before aggravating it against Alabama in Week 5, forcing him to exit the game. Parker Puckett is positioned to operate as the lead signal-caller, though no official starter announcement has been made. Mississippi State's availability report is expected to be released Friday, giving more clarification on Taylor's status.
