Williams (ribs) did not play during Friday's 38-26 win over Purdue.
Analysis:Williams was noted to possibly be available in a reserve role depending on warmups, but the quarterback was not needed Friday. He did go through pregame warmups, which is a positive indicator that he could return against Nebraska on Oct. 31 following the team's upcoming bye week. Elijah Brown drew the start under center for the first time this season and performed well enough to earn a victory, completing 21 of 27 passes for 302 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions.
