Houston Texans safety Calen Bullock suggested his team's defensive performance in Week 5's 26-3 win over the Tennessee Titans wasn't so impressive given the competition.
"It was good. We did what we were supposed to do. Like, no offense, it was Tennessee. So we were supposed to go out there and dominate," Bullock said Wednesday, according to ESPN 97.5 Houston's Will Kunkel.
The Texans held the Titans to 187 yards of offense and sacked quarterback Cam Ward four times. Tennessee netted a field goal on its opening drive and then didn't score on its final eight drives of the game.
Ward completed 23 of 36 passes for 170 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. His 63.4 passer rating was his worst mark in a game this season and the third-worst mark of his career, according to TruMedia.
The Titans fell to 0-5 and are one of three teams in the league without a win this season. They are 6-33 since the 2024 campaign - four fewer wins than the New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders, who are tied for second last in win percentage during that stretch.
Houston secured its first win of the year against Tennessee and is 1-4 as the team travels to London to face the NFC South-leading Jacksonville Jaguars. Through the first four weeks, the Texans ranked 25th in EPA/play on defense, a massive drop-off from seventh last season.
"I'll say this is the real test this week," Bullock said of the Week 6 matchup.
Kickoff in London is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday.
