The Philadelphia Eagles are not expected to place quarterback Jalen Hurts on injured reserve, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport.
Hurts remains out indefinitely due to a superficial blood clot in his calf, and he's been ruled out for Sunday's meeting against the Carolina Panthers.
An IR designation would require Hurts to miss a minimum of four games.
Hurts has struggled this season, completing only 57.8% of his passes for 933 yards and eight touchdowns.
The Eagles are 2-3 so far this season and have been ravaged by injuries in the early going.
