The Los Angeles Chargers won't change their offensive play-caller entering Week 8.
Head coach Jim Harbaugh announced Wednesday that Mike McDaniel will continue to call plays despite the unit's massive struggles this season, according to ESPN.
The Chargers (0-6), the only winless team left in the NFL, are averaging a league-worst 15 points per game under McDaniel. They're scoring on just 25.4% of their offensive drives, which also ranks last.
McDaniel was hired this offseason in hopes that he could raise quarterback Justin Herbert's game. McDaniel previously found success with Tua Tagovailoa, who enjoyed his best season while being coached by the offensive specialist with the Miami Dolphins.
However, Herbert has struggled in McDaniel's system. Through six games, he's thrown just five touchdown passes and a league-high eight interceptions.
The Chargers take on the Los Angeles Rams (3-4) on Sunday.
