Portland Trail Blazers forward Zach Collins will undergo season-ending ankle surgery, the team announced on Friday.
A date for the procedure to repair his hairline medial malleolus stress fracture has yet to be determined.
Collins exited Portland's play-in game against the Memphis Grizzlies last Saturday with ankle inflammation. After undergoing an initial MRI on Wednesday, the club said he'd be re-evaluated in one week.
The 22-year-old, who also underwent shoulder surgery in October, appeared in just 11 games this season, averaging seven points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per contest.
Portland is tied 1-1 with the Los Angeles Lakers in the team's first-round series.
