The Oklahoma City Thunder and guard Cason Wallace agreed to a five-year extension worth $139 million, his agents told ESPN's Shams Charania.

Wallace, 22, was named to the All-Defensive second team last season following his third year in the NBA.

The Kentucky product was set to become a restricted free agent following the 2026-27 campaign.

Wallace started in 58 of 77 games for the Thunder in 2025-26, posting 8.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.9 steals per game. He led the league with 150 total steals last season, one more than Atlanta Hawks guard Dyson Daniels.

An NBA champion with the Thunder in 2024, Wallace was taken 10th overall in 2023 by the Dallas Mavericks, who then traded his draft rights to Oklahoma City. The former All-Rookie guard is expected to have a full-time starting role in OKC's backcourt this season alongside two-time reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
