The Charlotte Hornets and forward Brandon Miller have agreed to a five-year, $209-million extension, Miller's representatives told ESPN's Shams Charania.
The 23-year-old averaged 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 65 games last season.
Miller's breakout season followed a sophomore campaign in which he was held to 27 games due to injuries. When healthy, though, he averaged 21 points, 4.9 boards, and 3.6 assists in 34.2 minutes.
Charlotte selected Miller second overall in the 2023 draft, one pick after San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama. Miller went on to earn All-Rookie honors following the 2023-24 season.
The Hornets have undergone a somewhat transformative offseason that's included dealing away LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges.
Miller and Kon Knueppel will be tasked with building on Charlotte's surprise appearance in the play-in tournament last season.
