For a second straight week, the No. 1 team in the nation fell to an unranked opponent as 19.5-point underdog Auburn stunned Georgia 27-24 with a walk-off field goal Saturday.

The winning kick was set up after a costly fumble by Gunner Stockton on a possible game-winning drive in the final minute. That gave Auburn the ball in excellent position, and the Tigers moved into field-goal range two plays later.
Alex McPherson supplied the winning points from 34 yards after a personal foul penalty moved the ball 15 yards closer.
Georgia's defeat on the heels of Texas' loss to Oklahoma last week marks the first time since 1990 that the AP No. 1 team has lost to an unranked opponent in back-to-back weeks. It also snapped Georgia's 53-game winning streak against unranked teams and dropped Kirby Smart to 65-1 when holding a 14-point lead with the Bulldogs.
The latest edition of the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry was a game of runs. Georgia raced out to a 14-0 lead after two drives, but an Auburn blitz began with a trick play on a running-back pass to Keshaun Singleton.

The Tigers scored 24 answered points to grab a 10-point lead, only for Georgia to get off the mat with 10 straight of its own to draw level.
However, Auburn's defense stripped Stockton for Georgia's third turnover of the game to set the offense up at its own 44-yard line. Three running plays and the personal foul penalty put the Tigers well inside McPherson's range and he made no mistake, giving head coach Alex Golesh a signature win early in his first season with Auburn.
