Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Chris Tanev is week-to-week with an upper-body injury, the team announced Thursday, per TSN's Mark Masters.
Tanev suffered the injury Saturday against the Colorado Avalanche, although it's unclear how he got hurt.
The 36-year-old missed 71 games last season with a core muscle injury.
The Maple Leafs signed Tanev to a six-year contract carrying a $4.5-million average annual value in 2024. He suited up in 75 games in his first season with Toronto while posting a team-high plus-31 rating.
