The Toronto Maple Leafs acquired forward Aatu Raty from the Vancouver Canucks for forwards Jacob Quillan and Brandon Buhr, the teams announced Thursday.
Raty, who cleared waivers earlier Thursday, had one goal in four games with Vancouver this season. During the 2025-26 campaign, he recorded four goals and 14 points in 66 contests with the Canucks.
The 23-year-old won gold with Finland at the World Championship in May, registering four goals and seven points in 10 games.
Vancouver acquired Raty from the New York Islanders in 2023 in the Bo Horvat trade. Raty has logged 14 goals and 29 points in 118 career games with the Islanders and Canucks, and he's won 59.2% of his total faceoffs.
The Islanders drafted Raty 52nd overall in 2021.
Quillan has zero points through four AHL games this season. Last year, the 24-year-old recorded three points in 23 contests with the Maple Leafs and 14 goals and 36 points in 40 AHL games.
The Maple Leafs signed Quillan in 2024 as an NCAA free agent out of Quinnipiac. He scored the national championship-winning goal in overtime in 2023.
Buhr tallied 19 goals and 36 points in 35 games at Union College in the NCAA last year. Toronto signed him as a free agent in March, and he was assigned to the ECHL earlier in October.
